Where we are right now
In 2013, we have met with the members of several municipal councils. We have gratefully received the support through Council motions from the communities of Markham, Whitchurch-Stouffville, Uxbridge, East Gwilliambury, Pickering, Oshawa and Aurora. This means that nearly one million Ontarians are represented in this quest for fairness.
Here are links to some of those motions:
In addition, John O’Toole, MPP, Durham, has been active for his constituents in the Oshawa area. Here is the correspondence with FHPC and Hansard records of his work:
Further, Frank Klees, MPP, Newmarket-Aurora, has asked for further information from the hospitals in his constituency.
Our next move is to send a letter to the Premier, requesting a meeting to finally learn where the responsibilty for hospital parking charges lies. And how a fair and reasoned rate may be obtained.
We will post the response as soon as we get one. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope you will take up this issue in your community. We have a flow chart here that may be helpful in planning your approach.
